The short version
This summary is for orientation only. The numbered sections below are the policy.
- Your first paid subscription is refundable in full for 7 days. Ask by email, give no reason, and keep nothing you exported. Money goes back to the original card.
- Paid plans renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel any time from Settings, in two clicks, with no call and no retention queue.
- Cancelling stops the next charge and keeps your access until the end of the period you already paid for.
- We email you before every annual renewal, and after every charge, so a renewal is never a surprise.
- If something is genuinely our fault, such as a billing error or an outage that cost you the value of the month, we fix it. Just write to us.
This Refund Policy explains when Rivarise gives money back, how automatic renewal works, and how to cancel. It forms part of our Terms of Service. We wrote it to be read, not to hide behind.
1. The 7-day money-back guarantee
If you are not happy with your first paid Rivarise subscription, email us within 7 days of the charge and we will refund it in full. You do not need to give a reason, complete a survey, or take a call. The refund goes back to the card you paid with, and the request itself is enough.
The guarantee exists because AI visibility is new and you cannot really judge it from a marketing page. You need to put your real domain and your real prompts in, wait for the first checks to land, and see whether the picture is worth paying for. Seven days is enough to find that out on a daily-tracking plan.
The guarantee applies once per customer, to the first paid subscription on your account. It covers whichever plan you started on, at whichever billing period you chose, monthly or annual.
2. What is covered
- Your first paid subscription, monthly or annual, refunded in full if you ask within 7 days of the charge.
- Duplicate or erroneous charges, refunded in full whenever we find them, with no time limit.
- Charges after a valid cancellation, if a renewal slipped through despite you cancelling, refunded in full.
- A material failure on our side, such as an extended outage or a defect that prevented the Service from doing what your plan promised for a meaningful part of the period. We will refund or credit fairly, in proportion to what was lost.
- A discontinued feature you were relying on, where we remove a material paid feature with no equivalent replacement, refunded prorated for the unused term.
3. What is not covered
We would rather tell you this before you buy than argue about it afterwards:
- Renewal periods after the first. Once you have been a customer through a full period, later renewals are not refundable. Cancel before a renewal date to avoid the charge.
- Partial or unused time after you cancel mid-period. Your access continues to the end of the period you paid for, which is the value you receive instead of a partial refund.
- Results you hoped for. Rivarise measures whether AI engines cite your brand. It does not control whether they do. A low visibility score is information, and often the whole reason to have the tool, not a product defect.
- Third-party engine changes. If an engine restricts, rate limits or discontinues access, we will tell you in the application and adjust what we can, but we cannot refund a period already served because a third party changed its own product.
- Requests made after 7 days on a first subscription, except at our discretion under section 15.
- Accounts terminated for breach of the Terms of Service, including abuse, fraud and chargeback manipulation.
- Affiliate payouts already sent to you, which are governed by section 14.
4. How to request a refund
- Email support@rivarise.com from the address on your account, with the subject line "Refund request."
- Tell us which charge you mean. The date and amount are enough, and the invoice number helps.
- We reply within one business day. Approved refunds are issued through Stripe immediately on approval.
- Your bank posts the money back to the original payment method, typically in 5 to 10 business days. That last leg is your bank's timing, not ours, and we cannot speed it up.
We refund only to the original payment method. We cannot send refunds to a different card, to a bank account or by any other route, because the payment processor will not permit it.
Requesting a refund under the 7-day guarantee also cancels the subscription, unless you tell us you want to keep it running.
5. How automatic renewal works
YOUR SUBSCRIPTION RENEWS AUTOMATICALLY UNTIL YOU CANCEL. When you buy a paid plan, it continues for successive periods of the same length you selected. Monthly plans renew every month and annual plans renew every year, on the anniversary of your purchase. Each renewal charges the payment method on file at the then-current rate for your plan. There is no fixed end date, and the only thing that stops a renewal is cancellation.
Current rates are always shown on the pricing page. If we change the price of your plan, we give at least 30 days' notice by email first, and the new price applies only from your next renewal, never to a period you already paid for. You can cancel before that renewal if you do not want the new price.
6. How to cancel
To cancel Rivarise: sign in, open Settings, and click to cancel your subscription. That is the whole process, and it takes two clicks. There is no phone call, no chat queue, no "are you sure" maze, and no requirement to email anyone. If you signed up online, you can cancel online.
What happens next:
- Your cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you already paid for, and no further charge is made.
- You keep full access to your plan until that date. Nothing is switched off early.
- At the end of the period, the workspace moves to the Free plan rather than disappearing, so you do not lose the account.
- Data retention then follows the Free plan window and the schedule in our Privacy Policy. Export any reports you want to keep before then.
- You can resubscribe at any time, and your prompts and domains will be waiting.
If the cancellation control does not work for any reason, email support@rivarise.com and we will cancel it manually and back-date it to the day you tried. You will not be charged for our bug.
7. Renewal reminders and receipts
We do not rely on you forgetting. You will receive:
- a confirmation email when you first subscribe, stating the plan, the amount, the billing period and the renewal date;
- a reminder email before every annual renewal, sent at least 15 days ahead, with the amount and date and a direct link to cancel;
- a receipt after every successful charge, monthly or annual;
- an email whenever your price is due to change, at least 30 days beforehand.
8. Upgrades, downgrades and plan changes
| Change | When it applies | What you are charged |
|---|---|---|
| Upgrade | Immediately | Prorated difference for the remainder of the current period |
| Downgrade | At the end of the current period | Nothing now. The lower rate starts at the next renewal |
| Monthly to annual | Immediately | The annual rate, with credit for unused monthly time |
| Annual to monthly | At the end of the annual term | Nothing now. Monthly billing starts at renewal |
| Cancellation | At the end of the current period | Nothing further |
We do not refund the difference when you downgrade mid-period, because you keep the higher plan and its limits for the time you already paid for.
9. Annual plans
Annual billing is 15 percent cheaper than paying monthly and is charged once per year, in advance. The 7-day guarantee applies to a first annual subscription exactly as it does to a monthly one, and a refund in that window returns the entire annual amount.
After the first 7 days, an annual term is not refundable in part. If you cancel in month four, you keep the plan through the end of month twelve. This is the trade you make for the discount, and it is why we send an explicit reminder before each annual renewal.
10. The Free plan
The Free plan costs nothing, requires no payment method and therefore has nothing to refund. You can stay on it indefinitely, and you can move between Free and paid plans as often as you like. Downgrading to Free never deletes your workspace, though the Free plan's shorter history window will apply from that point.
11. Failed payments
If a renewal charge fails, we retry it over several days and email you each time so you can update the card. If it still does not clear, the workspace moves to the Free plan rather than being deleted, and paid features pause. Nothing is lost during this window: restore a working payment method and full access returns immediately. We never send unpaid balances to collections.
12. Taxes
Where sales tax, VAT, GST or a similar tax was collected on a refunded charge, the tax is refunded along with it. Taxes are set by your jurisdiction, not by us, and appear separately on your invoice.
13. Chargebacks
Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank. A chargeback costs us a fee, freezes the account automatically while the dispute runs, and takes weeks, whereas an email to support@rivarise.com usually resolves the same problem within a day. If a refund is owed, we will simply pay it.
We reserve the right to suspend accounts with chargebacks filed without first contacting us, and to decline future service to accounts that use chargebacks in place of the refund process. If a chargeback is later reversed in our favor, we will still honor a legitimate refund request.
14. Affiliate earnings and refunds
Commission on a referral is reversed if the underlying payment is refunded, charged back or otherwise reversed, since there is no revenue to share. Payouts already sent to you are not clawed back except in cases of fraud or program abuse, which are covered by section 14 of the Terms of Service. Reward credits such as free days of Starter carry no cash value and are never refundable for money.
15. Exceptions we make
Policies cannot anticipate everything, and we would rather be fair than technically correct. If you had a genuine reason you could not evaluate the product in your first 7 days, if a team member subscribed twice by mistake, if you forgot to cancel a plan you demonstrably never used after the renewal, or if something else simply reads as unfair, write to us and say so plainly. We will look at the actual situation. Discretionary refunds are decided case by case and do not change this policy or set a precedent, but they are given more often than not.
16. Your statutory rights
This policy adds to your legal rights, it does not replace them. Nothing here limits any non-waivable right you hold under the consumer-protection law of your state or country, including United States federal and state automatic-renewal and negative-option rules.
Consumers in the European Union and the United Kingdom have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts. By subscribing and beginning to use the Service immediately, you request that performance start during that period and acknowledge that the right of withdrawal ends once the Service has been fully performed. Our 7-day guarantee runs alongside that right, and where the statutory right gives you more, the statutory right wins.
17. How to contact us
Rivarise LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. For refunds, cancellations, billing questions or anything that looks wrong on an invoice, email support@rivarise.com. A human reads it, normally within one business day.
