Getting started
Rivarise answers one question: when someone asks an AI engine something relevant to your brand, does your content get cited, and how are you described? Setup takes three steps.
1. Add your domain
After signing up at app.rivarise.com, add the domain you want AI engines to cite, for example yourbrand.com. Rivarise never crawls or modifies your site; it only looks for your domain inside AI answers. Subdomains and www are matched automatically.
2. Add your prompts
Prompts are the real questions your buyers ask. Each prompt belongs to one of five intent categories, which later power your sentiment themes:
- Problem aware: "How do I keep distributed teams aligned?"
- Solution aware: "What is the best project management tool for remote teams?"
- Comparison: "YourBrand vs Competitor comparison"
- Brand: "Is YourBrand good for remote engineering teams?"
- Competitor: "Best Competitor alternatives"
On Growth and above, Rivarise suggests ten researched prompts at a time, each with the reasoning behind it.
3. Let the tracker run
Your prompts run against every engine on your plan: daily on all paid plans, weekly on Free. Every answer is checked for your domain, the citation position, the surrounding context and, on Starter and above, sentiment. First results usually appear within a day on paid plans.
Understanding your dashboard
Visibility Score
The share of checks in which your domain was cited, averaged over the selected range. The rank panel next to it compares you against the competitors you track.
Performance Score (PPS)
One 0 to 100 number that summarizes your AI visibility. It is weighted from four components:
- Citation rate: 50 percent
- Average citation position: 20 percent
- Sentiment score: 20 percent
- Consistency: 10 percent
70 and above reads as Strong, 40 to 69 as Moderate, below 40 as Weak. On the Free plan the score runs in lite mode: sentiment is treated as neutral rather than penalizing you.
Sentiment
When an engine cites you, Rivarise scores how favourably the answer describes you: positive, neutral, cautious or negative. Being mentioned is not the same as being recommended, and this is where the difference shows.
Engines
Rivarise tracks ten engines, each with its own model or surface. Gemini, Google AI Mode and Google AI Overviews are different Google products with different behavior, so they are tracked as three separate engines and never conflated.
| Engine | Available from |
|---|---|
| ChatGPT | Free |
| Perplexity | Starter |
| Gemini | Starter |
| DeepSeek | Starter |
| Grok | Starter |
| Meta AI | Growth |
| Microsoft Copilot | Growth |
| Claude | Business |
| Google AI Mode | Business |
| Google AI Overviews | Agency |

Annual billing saves 15 percent on every paid plan. Upgrades apply immediately; downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period. The Free plan never requires a card.
Alerts and drift detection
Alert rules watch your numbers so you do not have to. Email alerts are included from Starter; Slack and webhook alerts from Growth. Engine drift detection, also from Growth, compares each engine's citation rate this week against last week and flags any engine that starts citing you meaningfully less, while the trend is still young.
Reports and client portals
On Business and above you can generate a PDF report per domain: executive summary, engine breakdown, top prompts, opportunity gaps, competitor analysis and fix suggestions, with the raw data in an appendix. Client portals give each of your customers a live, read-only view of their own numbers, which is especially useful for agencies running many brands.
Affiliates and rewards
Affiliate program
Every account, including Free, has an affiliate dashboard. You earn a fixed amount per active referral, every month they stay subscribed: $5 for Starter referrals, $10 for Growth, $25 for Business and $50 for Agency. Your rate is locked in when the referral converts; later program changes never reduce existing payouts.
Earn free days
You can earn 7 days of Starter free for verified social proof: a short video with 1,000 or more views, a LinkedIn post with 50 or more likes, an X post with 100 or more likes, a published blog post, or a 4-star-plus review on G2, Capterra or Product Hunt. Submissions are reviewed manually from the Growth section of the app.
FAQ
Do you install anything on my site?
No. There is no tracking code, no crawler and no DNS change. Rivarise asks the engines the same way your buyers do and reads the answers.
When does tracking run?
Daily on all paid plans, weekly on Free. Results land in your dashboard as each run completes, and nightly aggregation keeps your history and PPS up to date.
Are the engine responses real?
Yes. API-based engines are queried through their official APIs; Google AI Mode and AI Overviews are read from the live surfaces. Two engines are close proxies: Meta AI runs via Llama on Together AI and Copilot via Azure OpenAI, and both are labeled as such in the app.
Can I change plans or cancel anytime?
Yes. Upgrades apply immediately with prorated billing through Stripe. Cancellations take effect at the end of the paid period. See the Refund Policy for details.
What counts as a citation?
Your domain appearing in the answer, in any of its common forms. Rivarise records whether you were cited, at what position, the URL if one was given and 75 characters of context on each side.
Where is my data stored, and can I delete it?
See the Privacy Policy for the full picture. Deleting your account removes your tracking data.
