Benchmarks
How anonymized cross-workspace averages are computed and why they take time to appear.
Benchmarks compare your visibility against anonymized averages computed across live Rivarise workspaces. It is the only place in the product where you can see how you compare to companies outside your own competitor list.
How the averages are built
- Averages are computed nightly from live customer workspaces.
- They are published only once enough workspaces contribute to keep every customer data anonymous. Below that floor, nothing is shown at all.
- No workspace, brand, domain or prompt is ever identifiable in a benchmark figure, in either direction.
Why it may say "warming up"
If you see the warming-up message, the platform does not yet have enough contributing workspaces in the relevant grouping to publish an average without risking identification. This is a deliberate privacy floor, not a bug and not a data problem in your workspace.
It resolves as the platform grows. Nothing is required from you, and your own tracking is entirely unaffected in the meantime.
Reading a benchmark honestly
When figures do appear, keep three caveats in mind:
- Prompt sets differ. Another workspace tracking easy brand prompts will show a higher citation rate than one tracking hard comparison prompts, and neither is better at AEO.
- Engine counts differ. Workspaces on different plans query different numbers of engines.
- Category difficulty differs. A crowded category with ten credible vendors produces lower rates across the board.
Use benchmarks to sanity-check your expectations, not as a target. Your own trend line and your rank against real competitors remain the more actionable numbers.
Availability
Benchmarks are an Agency plan feature. Your workspace contributes to the anonymized aggregate only in the same de-identified form everyone else does, and no individual workspace data is exposed to anyone.
